The east side of town has become the forgotten side of town. There has been overdevelopment, smaller streets, more traffic, and more congestion in the way of living.
If you start from the crossroads of Clifton Avenue and Lexington Avenue - drive down to the crossroads of Clifton Avenue and Allwood Road, and you will see the difference in the way of living. You will see how congested the homes are, how overdeveloped, and the difference in the "two sides of town".
Now, the "other side" of town is been looked at for the overdevelopment of more apartments, hotels, and storage units. Mom and pops shops are disappearing little by little. It is time to revive our downtown area, Allwood shops, and the stores that have always made Clifton great! This is what I remember Clifton to be when I was a kid. Growing up in Clifton, I want both sides of town to thrive.
Matter of fact, I want Clifton to thrive.
